He somehow damaged a muscle in one of his back legs on June 3rd , and has been comfortably incarcerated , on vets orders , ever since .
However . . He has an appointement with the vet on thursday morning , he's not been seeming to be in pain at all , and very hopefully he can be allowed out , initially within the house .
For such a normally active cat he's been coping with the situation so graciously : I think that animals can usually tell when we are acting in their best interests .

I think so dear Jenny , the only worry is that something similar could happen again if he's allowed out at night , which I intend to avoid !

I'm afraid you can't really control a cat like you do a dog...I bet once he's out of his cage and you don't let him out at night, you won't get much sleep with him demanding to be let out...LOL...ours were impossible to keep in at night even if we should have kept them in for one reason or another...GBHs...XXX

My plan is to encourage him to go out in the daytime , in the hope that he'll be tired at night !
Thanks Jenny - xx - .-

Ours went out in the day time too...and slept a lot as well...I'm afraid cats will sleep when they want to and go out when they want to...

good luck
I do believe animals can sense emotions, they can usually tell when you are sad and whether people are friendly. Hope all goes well

He'd better be ok after all you have been through the worry of his injury then the added worry of how he feels being caged . Also the look on his face says "Not that bad in here but don't tell martin paws crossed I'll be getting my street cred back soon"

And they are crossed if you look in the picture

He is crossing those paws in anticipation of his sentence being spent. Countdown has begun and hopefully all will resort to normal on Thursday. Good luck with your negotiations with Leo regarding his night-time curfew.

He was secretly let out for a wee while tonight , not having eaten much of his food with his painkiller in it , and seems absolutely fine , so , as you say , fingers and paws crossed ,
Thanks Julie ,
