" I believe it's been said that all one ever does is whinge and complain about the horrors of the modern world , almost as if one is stuck in some sort of post-modern-victorian time-warp .
There is much to be said for modern technology . But one of the accursed damnations of this modern world of ours is this bloody awful obsession with acquisitive materialistic greed .
I mean , why can't people just be happy with their lot  ?   I am , with a very modest income of some fourteen million per annum , and only twenty-two full time staff .
From the constant barrage of febrile carping criticism that one receives from certain quarters , anyone might be forgiven for thinking of one as some sort of monstrously carbuncular ogre !
The trouble with todays press and politicians is that they politely listen to one , then take not the slightest bit of notice of what one is saying .
I mean , I'm only the bloody Prince of Wales for Christs sake !
With every fibre of my being I feel so unutterably strongly that what is so tragically  lacking in todays society is not only respect for multi-faith religious doctrine but also for those of us who do so much to promote such , I feel , absolutely vitally important issues as conservation of our wildlife , the marketing of Duchy of Cornwall organic produce , and ones  ongoing campaign against the horrendously ugly monstrosities of non bio-dymanic GM farming , which is destroying our planet faster than the speed of sound .
